How to add items quickly
Last updated
Type in the Add item field and Groceree suggests matching products from a built-in catalogue as you go. Pick a suggestion and the item lands on the list already named and categorised, so a full weekly shop takes a couple of minutes.
Steps
- 01
Start typing
Open a list and use the Add item field. Suggestions from the product catalogue appear as you type, so you rarely need to finish the word.
- 02
Pick a suggestion, or add your own
Tap a suggestion to add it. If what you want is not in the catalogue, add it as a custom item — it works exactly the same on the list afterwards.
- 03
Add a quantity if it matters
Items can carry a quantity, which is worth setting when someone else is doing the shopping and “milk” could reasonably mean one bottle or four.
Worth knowing
- You can attach a photo to an item when the brand or packaging matters and words would be ambiguous.
- Catalogue items arrive already categorised, which is what keeps the aisle ordering useful without any extra work.
