Everyone can add, nobody has to be in charge
Every flatmate has the same access. There is no list owner to route requests through, which matters in a household where nobody has volunteered to be the organised one.
Keep the shared list separate from your own
You can run more than one list side by side — the flat’s shared staples in one, your own food in another. Only the people you invite to a given list can see it.

- Can everyone in the flat edit the same list?
- Yes. Anyone who joins the list from the invite link can add, edit, and check off items. There is no separate permission level to configure.
- Can I keep my own shopping separate from the shared one?
- Yes. Each list has its own members, so a private list stays private while the shared household list is visible to everyone you invited to it.
- Does Groceree split costs between flatmates?
- No. Groceree keeps the shared list itself — what is needed and what has been bought. It does not track who paid or split bills, so you would still settle up however you already do.
