When AnyList is the better choice
There are clear cases where we would point you at AnyList instead.
- You want a recipe manager rather than a recipe shelf: collections, tags, and a week of meals planned against them. Groceree saves recipes, scales them to the number of people eating, and shops from them — and stops there.
- You plan meals for the week on a calendar. Groceree does not do meal planning at all.
- You want to manage lists from a laptop. AnyList has web and desktop access; Groceree is mobile only.
- You add items by talking to Siri or Alexa. Groceree has no voice assistant integration yet.
- You want a long track record. AnyList has been refined over many years and has a far larger user base than we do.

- You check the list one-handed in the shop. Live Activities put the list on the iPhone Lock Screen without unlocking.
- You keep supermarket loyalty cards on your phone. Groceree scans and stores card barcodes so you can show them at checkout without a separate wallet app.
- You want to influence what gets built. Groceree has a feature-request board inside the app, under Settings, where you can post an idea and vote on other people’s.
